Caravonica wins ‘100 per cent’ crown with Red Peak’s appeal

Cairns, 15th April, 2015 – Picturesque Caravonica has won the Real Estate Institute of Queensland’s crown for being a 100 per cent profit-making suburb.

Satisfied vendors are cashing in on the rise in the desirability of the suburb brought about largely by the multi-million dollar, quality residential development, Red Peak Forest Estate.

Every single vendor who sold property in Caravonica last year made a profit, making the Cairns precinct one of only 49 suburbs throughout the State to reach the 100 per cent list, the REIQ reported last month.

Transactions were up 26 per cent on 2013, with Caravonica recording the fifth-highest increase in profitable sales.

This is in line with REIQ data that shows residential real estate sales in Queensland have hit a five-year high. Queensland last year recorded $51 billion in property sales in about 114,000 transactions, according to the REIQ report.

Only 22 suburbs made the 100 per cent grade in 2013.

Red Peak director Anthony Oberdan said the Cairns market began improving in 2013 and they had seen growth in the number of enquiries for quality land.

Incorporating features such as feng shui principles into the estate had helped lift the desirability of Caravonica as a place to live and invest.

“People investing in Red Peak Forest Estate like the quality of our development, its feel and its appearance” Mr Oberdan said.

“It has a sense of harmony with curved streets, trees and a sensitive cohesiveness with the natural environment.”

Clients were a mix of locals moving up in the property market and newcomers from interstate and overseas.

“Our land is favourably priced from $194,000 and investors are showing great interest and excitement in our lake precinct allotments,” he said.

“There are kilometres of walking paths, we are less than five minutes from Lake Placid, and only a 15-minute drive to the Cairns CBD and 10 minutes to the airport.

“We are incredibly proud of what we have achieved here at Red Peak. We believe we have set a benchmark when it comes to quality new land estate developments in the tropics and in doing so have created an enviable lifestyle for those wishing to live here,” he added.
